JAMS held the inaugural edition of its Musician's Cookout in 2014 at Clark Reservation State Park. Its purpose was to bring artists together, young and old, with their families, friends and fans for fellowship around the theme of good food, good fun, and of course good music. The event gave the artists a chance to present themselves in front of new audiences and provided potential for them to secure new gig opportunities.
The cookout grew annually and by 2017, had grown to a point whereas Clark Reservation was unable to accommodate its parking needs anymore. It then moved to Jamesville Beach and again to Long Branch Park in Liverpool, NY in 2019.
